In Case You Haven't Heard!
Steve and I are having a baby boy! Due October 28, 2011:) Life is good...I am excited, nervous, and honestly still in a bit of disbelief! Steve has taken a few pictures of my belly's progress so I may get gutsy and post those later.. On another note, we are heading to Vegas and then Hawaii next week!!!! I can't wait!
March 26, 2011
This past month has consisted of some pretty exciting stuff! Val's wedding, family in town, etc. unfortunately I didn't have my camera for any of it....slacker! So you'll just have to believe me when I say it was good!! One of the most exciting things for me is that we booked a 2 week trip to Hawaii for this summer!! I am absolutely thrilled to see friends, go to the beach, eat yummy food, and spend some fun and relaxing times with the hubby!! I have been saving money I got from graduation and my birthday last year and have slowly been adding to it so there has been a lot of thought put into this trip and I finally just took a leap and bought the tickets! Money will definitely be tight for a bit but it's worth it:) And although he is not as ecstatic as I am about this adventure I know Steve is going to enjoy himself:) After this trip our next big vacation will hopefully be to Russia to visit my parents (moving there in June). Never thought we would ever take a trip there..haha!! There's is not much else going on around here lately. I am still doing adoption work and therapy, and Steve is doing school:) Can't believe he will be done with undergrad in December, and then he starts applying for grad school...yay!!

We got family pictures done while we were in Texas for Christmas...here is a sneak preview:)

February 21, 2011: Picture Overload!
So I am officially a crappy blogger...and I accept that fact! The last few months have been pretty typical for Steve and I. We have experienced happiness, sadness, enjoyable times and times I'd rather forget! The holidays brought some fun times with family and friends..I will spare you details and let you just look at the pictures:) I will try to be better about this blog...but is anyone even reading this????

January 16, 2011: I'M RICH!!
So today in sacrament meeting one of the speakers read us 4 questions to help us figure out whether or not we are rich. You may have already heard this, but it had an impact on me! To find out if you are rich ask yourselves the following 4 questions..
Question #1: Do you have a choice between modes of transportation? (Do you have other ways to get places besides walking?)
Question #2: Do you have a choice of what you get to eat besides rice?
Question #3: Do you have more than one pair of shoes?
Question #4 Do you have more than one pair of undies?
Wow...right! It really puts our lifestyle into perspective and shows us how truly blessed we are everyday:) I felt a little bit guilty with the fact that I really have a lot of things, a lot of which I probably don't really need, and it made my wants seem insignificant..I have more than enough to make me rich and happy!! In the environment I live in I tend to forget there are other people in this world who are struggling way more often and more intensely than I will probably ever have to experience. I am truly grateful for everything I have!! Thank goodness for sacrament talks that help keep me grounded!

2011 Already.....What??!!
I can't believe 2010 came and went so quickly! It was a good year and I feel like I accomplished a lot last year which will make it hard to top...but we'll try!! So far 2011 has been nothing but good to me! I started off the first day of the year by winning a prize off of an awesome blog! You should check it out at http://lwph.blogspot.com/ for future prizes and more importantly because it is a cute blog! I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my new apron, a hymn revival cd, and a book that will come in handy when we have kiddos!! Thanks again Jen!
So I'm not one for making goals at New Year's because I feel like I should be making goals all year (why only at the beginning of the year?). However, with that said, I appreciate the fact that the New Year, for some reason, reminds us to reflect on how we can improve our lives and make healthy changes. I was inspired by my sister-in-law Lori's 101 goals to accomplish in 1001 days. (If you need a little motivation with setting your goals check out http://mymontessorimoments.wordpress.com/) So here are a few small goals I have for my future...
*Do more service for others. Find something every week I can do for someone else (besides Steve). I love Steve, however I want this goal to be less about me and Steve (we will serve and help each other regardless of this goal!) and more about others around us.
*Become more organized with the things that matter and less about those things that don't. Example: Organize all our photos and put them in albums but don't be so worried about the 2 dishes that have been sitting in the sink all day...it's okay!
*Pay off debt and build savings! I plan to pay off my car and hopefully Steve's student loan before 2012! This way we can start fresh with student loans for his graduate school:)
* Improve my work with clients and couples by increasing my knowledge. Spend at least 2 hours a week reading social work related materials.
*Learn at least one new recipe a month and cook more. I'm excited for this one especially with my new and first apron on the way!
*Decorate our house more...yikes..can't believe I said this one out loud.
*Be more Christlike and start by praying more often and attending the temple monthly.
I think this is a good start:)
